Self Employed Vs Business Owner

 

When an employee starts his or her work and become his boss, he or she thinks that he becomes the businessman. It is biggest mistake. There are lots of difference between self-employed and businessman.

1. Definition

Self-Employed is the person who does all work himself to give himself the salary instead giving control of his time on other. In works like, production of his products, buying of his products or contacting customers or providing all services himself. 

Business owner is a person who manage all his business activities with the help of other employees, other self - employed people and with the help of other business partners. 

2. Believe

Self-employed person believes, no one can better than him. So, he is master of his work and it is his responsibility to perform all his works.

Business owner believes that all the work which is done by other, he should not do because his time is important and he can easily buy the time of other experts with money. He believes, other can better do his business, but other can not provide better system than him. 

3. Have Employees

Self-employed person keeps no employee or very less employee or part time employee. Because he thinks, that other learns his secret skills and become the competitor for him.

Business owner has lots of employees and lots department. He has some employees in finance department. He has some employees in production department. He has some employees in marketing department. In simple words, he has lots of qualified and skilled and unskilled employees. 

4. Free Time 

Self-employed has no time for family, friends, to care his health and because he is busy 24/7 in his work because he do not appoint others due to ego

Business person is so humble and have appoint and if he has absented for 24/7/12, his business will be in the hand of expert and will grow. 

5. Examples 

CA, Lawyers, commission agents and brokers and doctors are in this category. All big business owners who have 10+ full time employees are the business owner even some ca, lawyers and doctors have shifted from self-employed to business owner by appointing 100+ employees and become only care take of all employees and business activity instead of doing all work himself. 

6. Shift 

From Shifting self-employed to business owner is only need to change the attitude and thinking big and set the big dream and big goal. You have to start to say

I can survive the cost of all employees

I can feel happy to see the growth of my employee

Other can better worker than me but I can make better system which I can give to them

From shifting business owner to self-employed is only need to start to think small, limit to your own potential and start to say. 

I can not survive the cost of all employees

I can not feel happy to see the growth of my employee and become my competitor

Other can not be better worker  than me but I am not make  better system which I can give to them
