Bill of Lading Format

 Before knowing bill of lading format, you should know about the fundamental of bill of lading. Bill of lading is the proof which is issued by transporter to accept that he or she received the material for transport. This document is also proof of relationship between exporter and importer of trasported goods. It is issued with some terms of contract of carriage.

 This document is issued to exporter or shipper or seller and it have the detail of nature, quantity, quality of shipped goods.

These days electronic bills of lading is issued which is fast and paperless which can be issued both buyer and seller as serve document of ownership of title and contract of carriage and finally it serves as receipt of goods. 

First of shipping company forward this bill of lading to exporter. Exporter forwards to importer and importer shows it to same shipping company and gets its goods.

Notice : Freight moving under this bill of lading is subject to classifications and tariffs established by the carrier and are available to shipper upon request. This notice supersedes and negates any claimed oral o  written contract, promise, representation or understanding between parties, except to extend of any written contract signed by both parties to the contract. 

The shipper certifies that the above named materials are properly classifed, described, marked, labeled and packaged and are in proper condition for transportation according to the applicable regulations of the department of transportation.
